Base Salary
$139k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end application architectures across UI, APIs, services, data, AI components, integrations, and runtime platforms.
- Prototype and spike solutions using code, configurations, pipelines, and prompts to validate architecture decisions.
- Define reference architectures for AI-enabled products, including RAG, vector search, prompt orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Write architecture decision records, sequence flows, deployment diagrams, and non-functional requirements.
- Work directly in codebases with engineers, establish implementation patterns, review code and tests, and guide technical decisions.
- Design performance, scalability, resilience, observability, operability, security, Zero Trust, and Responsible AI controls.
- Architect solutions for transition into long-term managed operations, including CI/CD pipelines, environment strategies, release automation, runbooks, and support handoffs.
- Lead client technical workshops and explain architectural tradeoffs to technical and semi-technical stakeholders.
- Support solutioning and proposals through architecture design, estimates, and delivery approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 8+ years of experience in engineering and solution architecture roles with recent hands-on delivery responsibility.
- Strong hands-on software engineering background and experience with modern application architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native design, APIs, integration patterns, and data architectures.
- Practical experience building AI-enabled features involving prompting, RAG, embeddings, and evaluation.
- Experience working directly with code, infrastructure, and pipelines.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and containerized platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to observability stacks, SRE concepts, and incident response is preferred.
- Experience architecting in regulated environments with privacy, security, or model-risk considerations is preferred.
- Cloud, security, or architecture certifications are a plus.
- Prior consulting or complex product delivery experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to follow data protection, privacy, confidentiality, Responsible AI, and client policies.
