Principal Engineer - Network Reliability Engineering

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for network software lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, configuration drift management, and network reliability initiatives.
- Define engineering strategy, architecture, standards, governance models, and roadmaps for network lifecycle, compliance, automation, and reliability platforms.
- Lead enterprise-wide network modernization, risk remediation, technology transformation, and strategic technology planning initiatives.
- Build and deploy automation, Infrastructure as Code, policy-driven controls, observability, compliance management, and self-healing operational capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership for critical incidents, complex investigations, root cause analysis, and systemic reliability improvements.
- Mentor engineers and technical leaders and drive measurable improvements in reliability, availability, scalability, vulnerability reduction, and lifecycle compliance.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Expertise in large-scale network platforms including routing, switching, load balancing, network security, DNS, DDI, WAN, cloud networking, and edge infrastructure.
- Experience building and deploying network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, APIs, Infrastructure as Code, or similar technologies.
- Experience with network observability, telemetry-driven operations, AIOps, and advanced analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud networking platforms.
- Experience driving enterprise vulnerability remediation and software lifecycle management programs.
- Desired certifications include CCIE, CCNP, DevNet, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to drive innovation, operational transformation, and reliability engineering practices at scale.
