Base Salary
$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery for the team’s largest and most complex problems.
- Provide technical leadership and determine plans of attack for high-impact projects.
- Solve complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
- Champion high technical standards and engineering excellence across Atlassian.
- Partner with engineering teams on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects.
- Share engineering knowledge and best practices.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of technical leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Experience with one or more prominent languages or frameworks such as Java, Scala, Node, JavaScript, and React.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Deep experience in systems engineering at scale, including testing, reliability, security, and observability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to consider customer impact in technical decisions.
- Familiarity with A/B testing techniques.
