Base Salary

$150k - $391k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, assess, and audit institutional-grade digital asset custody solutions using MPC, HSMs, and air-gapped cold storage.
  • Evaluate Bitcoin, Ethereum, and emerging Layer 1 and Layer 2 protocols for security assumptions, consensus mechanisms, attack vectors, and operational risks.
  • Develop defensive strategies for AI-assisted cybersecurity threats, including autonomous vulnerability discovery and multi-stage attacks.
  • Advise on ECC, ZKPs, threshold signatures, and distributed key management systems.
  • Lead technical incident response during active security events and coordinate engineering and security teams.
  • Translate complex infrastructure, trust-model, and digital asset risks into actionable guidance for C-suite stakeholders.
  • Lead complex client engagements, manage cross-functional teams, and support business development through thought leadership and client pursuits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, blockchain security, digital asset infrastructure, or cryptographic research.
  • Hands-on experience managing private key lifecycles, digital asset custody operations, signing ceremonies, and enterprise-scale key management programs.
  • Deep knowledge of Bitcoin and Ethereum architecture, including Bitcoin UTXO, Bitcoin Script, Lightning Network, EVM, account abstraction, validator operations, and staking.
  • Strong understanding of security models and architectural trade-offs across Solana, Cosmos, and Polkadot.
  • Advanced knowledge of cryptographic primitives and protocols, including SHA-256, Keccak, ECDSA, Schnorr signatures, MPC, and threshold signature schemes.
  • Experience with Linux security, network segmentation and isolation, application and API security, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Experience using generative AI and LLMs for security analysis, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and code review.
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex client-facing projects.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, relevant cybersecurity, blockchain security, or cryptography certifications, professional services or advisory experience, thought leadership contributions, digital asset regulatory and operational risk knowledge, and financial services client experience.
