Responsibilities
- Define test strategies and test plans covering functional and non-functional test cases and traceability to specifications and customer requirements.
- Design, script, prepare, and execute test cases, test environments, and test data.
- Provide feature and production-defect go/no-go sign-off based on defined exit criteria.
- Assess, implement, and improve test automation and regression or CI/CD test suites.
- Open, investigate, prioritize, and verify software and documentation defects.
- Report testing activities, milestones, risks, and progress to developers, product analysts, line management, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in specification and architecture reviews and identify impacts, risks, issues, and gaps.
- Mentor newcomers and support QA peers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Promote QA best practices, quality standards, tooling improvements, and continuous and sustainable process improvement.
- Help understand, measure, and reduce the environmental impact of tested applications and QA activities.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on professional testing experience, including mentoring other team members.
- Professional experience with test automation and proficiency with Git.
- Experience with Jira, Scrum, Agile methodologies, communication, and analytical problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Octane, Confluence, Selenium, travel or airline and airport domains, NoSQL databases such as Couchbase, and cloud technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker is advantageous.
- Ability to provide technical guidance, define testing approaches, communicate quality information, and support QA teams.
