$121k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead large cross-functional engineering projects from requirements gathering through design and delivery.
- Define architecture, standards, and technical direction for scalable, reliable, high-performance data platforms.
- Design and operate batch, streaming, real-time, and event-driven data pipelines across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Conduct design and code reviews and contribute hands-on to implementation.
- Build AI-ready, discoverable, context-rich data foundations.
- Partner with engineering, product, analytics, machine learning, and infrastructure teams.
- Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement.
- Apply AI tools to code generation, pipeline acceleration, documentation, debugging, testing, and operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 5 years of software engineering or related experience, or 7 years of such experience.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL/ELT at scale, and batch, streaming, and real-time data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
- Understanding of distributed processing and in-memory computation.
- Experience with data observability, schema design, and governance.
- Strong software engineering, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
