Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve scalable, performant, secure, and operationally ready enterprise software solutions.
- Drive software architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across application, integration, and event-driven systems.
- Design resilient systems using APIs, asynchronous messaging, observability, authentication, authorization, and fault-tolerance principles.
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and platform teams on deployment, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Guide implementation through architecture reviews, design and code oversight, documentation, governance forums, and trade-off analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and influence engineering teams while evaluating emerging technologies and fostering innovation.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns across application and integration layers.
- Experience with API-driven and event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, event modeling, event flows, pub/sub patterns, and event-based integration.
- Strong knowledge of microservices and service decomposition approaches.
- Understanding of security and resilience patterns, including authentication, authorization, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, and production readiness.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable technical designs.
- Experience conducting architecture and design reviews and analyzing trade-offs.
- Ability to guide engineering teams and influence decisions without formal authority.
- Strong communication skills and experience working across platform, enterprise architecture, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combinations of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may be considered.
