Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Google Cloud database products, including Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Bigtable.
- Identify and qualify business opportunities, uncover customer technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
- Lead discovery workshops to assess customer application environments, workloads, and goals for migration to Google Cloud databases.
- Support customer technical relationships through product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordination of solutions affecting Google Cloud adoption.
- Curate and share database-selling best practices across accounts and account teams and elevate strategic mindshare with customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Six years of experience in the enterprise software or cloud space.
- Experience with one or more database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and graph databases.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies, including positioning databases for customer application use cases.
- Fluent communication in Japanese and English for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience helping customers design and build applications using open-source or cloud-native databases.
- Preferred: experience with data management architectures, storage, high availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, performance, scalability, security, monitoring, and database management.
- Preferred: experience with data migration strategies and moving large-scale production systems between on-premise, data center, and cloud environments.
- Preferred: customer-facing pre-sales or professional consulting experience translating data and information lifecycle management needs into cloud-centric solutions.
