Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, debugs, and troubleshoots secure, high-quality software solutions.
  • Maintains algorithms and production code while ensuring design constraints and operational stability.
  • Creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
  • Analyzes large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve software applications and system architecture.
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Validates AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, secure coding practices, and responsible data handling.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and team culture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
  • At least 3 years of applied software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka in a microservices architecture.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Understanding of application resiliency, security, and software engineering processes.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine their outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Ability to guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
