Responsibilities
- Build scalable systems and developer self-service capabilities using automation and reliability best practices.
- Support services before launch through system design consultation, platform and framework development, planning, and technical reviews.
- Define and document runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Own and lead projects within the STO team’s delivery strategy.
- Monitor service availability, latency, and overall system health after launch.
- Mentor and train SREs and Product and Technology staff on technologies, processes, design patterns, and technical practices.
- Drive incident-response standards, automated response, and remediation policies.
- Participate in technical interviews, STO culture development, and the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer role.
- Associate- or Professional-level AWS or Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
- Direct experience implementing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
- In-depth AWS and Azure knowledge, including cloud infrastructure setup and management with infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools.
- Production software development experience in any programming language.
- Experience with large-scale distributed cloud systems, observability, telemetry, centralized logging, and alerting.
- Experience with tools and platforms including Ansible, artifact storage, build and release pipelines, Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience with operational monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Observe Inc., and Prometheus.

- Flexible work arrangement within Canada: Toronto office full time, hybrid, or remote; preference for GTA candidates able to attend the Toronto office approximately two days per month.
- Base salary range of $123,250–$166,750 CAD.
- Compensation may adapt with progression based on role, location, skills, experience, and education.
