Responsibilities
- Design and implement software architectures, components, subsystems, integrations, and technical solutions for payment products.
- Create architecture diagrams, design documents, engineering specifications, technical artifacts, and development roadmaps.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, code reviews, and design support to global developers, engineers, and technical leads.
- Define technology choices, coding standards, workflows, product patterns, engineering practices, and adoption plans for new technologies.
- Collaborate with product, solutions, systems, business, peer, and customer stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Diagnose system failures and production issues, identify root causes, and support reliable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems.
- Lead teams toward product development objectives while ensuring alignment with product specifications and architectural standards.
- Drive quality, security, extensibility, data privacy, compliance, and other non-functional requirements.
- Perform proofs of concept and advise on development processes, practices, and enterprise standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field through a BE/BTech, or a master's degree through an MS/MTech.
- 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, RDBMS, NoSQL, and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience with SOAP, REST, RESTful services, JSON-RPC, JMS, SOA/EDA, microservices architecture, client-server systems, distributed systems, and enterprise integration.
- Experience engineering stable, fault-tolerant, high-performance, well-instrumented, compliant, always-on systems in high-transaction global distributed environments.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, application containerization, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud migration strategy; GCP experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Tomcat, integration frameworks, rule engines, JVM monitoring, diagnostics, tuning, networking, system monitoring, and problem diagnostics.
- Knowledge of command-line tools and scripting, including Bash and Python, as well as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, presentation technologies, and distributed cache technologies.
- Experience with test-driven development, build and deployment tools, CI/CD practices, software design, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Solid understanding of data engineering and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies and MCP servers.
- Payment or travel domain experience is advantageous, and payment solutions experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-interaction skills.
