Base Salary
$214k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution for multiple teams and backend/platform product areas across cloud and on-prem deployments.
- Own the technical roadmap and architectural integrity of backend services and data-processing workflows.
- Design, build, operate, and scale reliable, performant, secure, and maintainable production systems.
- Lead architecture reviews and design sessions while improving documentation, code review, secure coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD practices.
- Partner with Product Management, UX, architects, multifunctional teams, and customers to resolve complex production issues and deliver security platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and advance product architecture, deployment models, platform evolution, and customer value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 12 years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 8 years of related experience.
- Experience applying data structures, algorithms, and system design to deliver complex features end to end.
- Expertise in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including React and/or BackboneJS.
- Experience designing, building, operating, and scaling production systems in cloud and on-prem environments within Agile/DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with data-driven security tooling or security analytics platforms, secure design patterns, backend security principles, and complex customer or production issue resolution.
- Expertise in backend technologies such as Python, Java, C, C++, or similar languages.
- Preferred experience with AI tools, ML methodologies, data pipelines, large-scale data processing, distributed backend systems, technology innovation, engineering mentorship, and multifunctional platform initiatives.
