Responsibilities
- Lead deep-dive troubleshooting and resolution of complex Webex media platform escalations involving packet loss, jitter, latency, media degradation, and signaling failures.
- Build and operate scalable real-time media features and high-resilience software across hybrid cloud and bare-metal environments.
- Design and maintain AI agents, MCP integrations, telemetry pipelines, evaluation frameworks, anomaly detection, and safe remediation workflows.
- Define SLIs and SLOs, manage error budgets, support incident response, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, and coordinate delivery across global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years, master’s degree plus 6 years, or PhD plus 3 years of experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Record of working as a Senior or Lead SRE or software engineer on distributed, highly available SaaS or media platforms at scale.
- Experience with real-time media streaming and protocols including RTP/RTCP, SRTP, WebRTC, SIP, SDP, RTSP, or HLS/DASH.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, C++, or Java, with experience designing microservices, APIs, and production automation.
- Deep Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and large-scale multi-cluster experience.
- Experience with SRE practices, SLI/SLO design, observability, incident management, and automated root cause analysis.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, performance-sensitive systems, LLM pipelines, AI agents, MCP, RAG, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ThousandEyes, Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or vector databases.
