Base Salary

$159k - $305k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and support of the Calypso Back Office platform for settlements, accounting, reconciliations, and post-trade processing.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement Calypso enhancements, interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues involving trade processing, settlements, accounting, and system integrations.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, optimization, and operational controls for back-office operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Production Support, and Platform Engineering teams on strategic initiatives and platform reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor software engineers, lead cross-functional project delivery, and influence technical direction.
  • Ensure platform stability, operational efficiency, risk management, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of specialty software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on enterprise application development experience using Java/J2EE technologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and supporting vendor-platform integrations with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, messaging, and batch interfaces.
  • At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting complex production issues in high-availability environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience with SDLC, application architecture, testing, release management, and production support processes.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex technology initiatives and mentoring software engineers.
  • Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of specialty software engineering experience, 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience, and 3+ years supporting or developing Calypso solutions, preferably in Back Office modules.
  • Preferred knowledge includes capital markets operations such as settlements, accounting, payments, reconciliations, and post-trade processing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner across Technology, Operations, and Business teams.
  • Willingness to work onsite in a hybrid work schedule.
