Responsibilities
- Serve as the Tech Lead within a Product Trio and lead initiatives from PI Planning through production.
- Design and evolve the Broker Experience Ecosystem and develop solutions to complex customer problems.
- Own production stability for the assigned domain, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and fixes.
- Lead, mentor, and coach developers within the squad while contributing through code reviews and technical example.
- Use AI tools such as Devin and Cursor to improve productivity.
- Participate in production support activities and deliver high-quality code within a microservices environment.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 8 years of software design and development experience.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented and microservice architecture, software design patterns, and UX design principles.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
- At least 5 years of experience building server-side applications with Java, Spring Boot, JDBC, Hibernate, and REST web services or APIs.
- At least 5 years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PL/SQL, plus NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
- Eligibility to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment.
- Kafka or event-driven architecture experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with OpenShift and Kubernetes container deployments is considered an asset.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jest, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube is considered an asset.

- Salary range of 118,700 to 145,100 based on a 35-hour workweek, with an annual bonus target of 15% of base salary.
