Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance scalable applications for the Virtual Card Services platform.
- Build and support cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and PCF/Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Deliver end-to-end software development from requirements analysis and technical design through production support.
- Contribute to data migration initiatives, including transformation, validation, reconciliation, and implementation planning.
- Support release management through deployment planning, validation, production readiness, and post-release monitoring.
- Create automated and manual test cases focused on software quality, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve resiliency and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer value.
- Manage project priorities, timelines, deliverables, technical debt, platform stability, and feature development.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
- Experience building and supporting SOAP-based web services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with JSON and XML message formats, service integration patterns, and API design.
- Experience deploying and managing web service applications using PCF/Pivotal Cloud Foundry or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with data migration, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and implementation planning.
- Knowledge of software release processes and experience supporting releases across development and production environments.
- Experience designing and executing automated and manual test cases.
- Understanding of software engineering practices including code reviews, secure coding, and observability.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and sprint ceremonies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams in a matrix organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud-native architecture, containerization, modern CI/CD pipelines, payment processing, commercial payments, virtual cards, financial services, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and distributed systems.
