Base Salary
$180k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements while multiplying the effectiveness of engineers.
- Design, implement, deliver, and test Android and iOS applications for consumer banking use cases.
- Design systems, write critical code, guide architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, product partners, and Lab49 leadership to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Promote software architecture, engineering best practices, new technologies, and responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools.
- Lead engineers toward greater autonomy and proactively address delivery risks.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
- 4+ years leading Agile teams.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and native Android development tools such as Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with RESTful API and third-party library integration.
- Knowledge of mobile application continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Swift and native iOS experience with SwiftUI and UIKit; fraud management, KYC, AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, released Google Play Store applications, AppConfig community standards, and enterprise app distribution.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Preferred experience using Claude, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
