Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform end-to-end manual testing for web-based and distributed applications.
- Design, execute, and maintain API test cases and validate JSON/XML payloads and backend integrations.
- Validate message flows, queues, topics, and asynchronous processing using IBM MQ or equivalent technologies.
- Develop and maintain Python and Selenium WebDriver automation frameworks and scripts.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines and support functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with development teams.
- Validate Capital Markets trade lifecycle workflows, order management, market data processing, clearing and settlement, and regulatory reporting.
- Participate in requirement reviews, defect triage, release planning, and release sign-off activities.
- Prepare test execution reports and quality metrics and mentor junior QA engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in manual testing, API testing, and message-queue validation.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with manual, functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Experience with Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar API testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka, or similar messaging technologies.
- Strong Python programming skills and extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, trade lifecycle, OMS, market data processing, clearing and settlement, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect management.
- Preferred qualifications include PyTest, Unittest, or Robot Framework knowledge; Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps experience; SQL and database validation; performance testing exposure; Agile/Scrum experience; and ISTQB certification.
