Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and build RESTful APIs integrating with databases, messaging platforms, and external systems.
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support containerized applications across OpenShift and cloud environments.
- Modernize legacy applications into reusable, maintainable service-based architectures.
- Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, Agile planning, estimation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Improve application performance, system reliability, and operational outcomes for retirement technology platforms.
Requirements
- Three to six years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java-based microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, service integrations, and relational database solutions using SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Red Hat OpenShift or AWS, Git, Maven or Gradle, and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing frameworks.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Helm, OpenShift ecosystem tools, AWS EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Kafka, RabbitMQ, OpenAPI, Swagger, and observability practices.
