Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, stable, scalable software solutions.
- Lead technical design by translating business requirements into architecture, interfaces, and implementation approaches.
- Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, implementation guidance, and resolution of engineering blockers.
- Build Python full-stack applications, APIs, and integrations while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
- Guide responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools across coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation workflows.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on expertise with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Experience with React and AngularJS, API development, and Astronomer or Airflow.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Knowledge of source control such as Bitbucket, branching strategies, cloud deployment, application resiliency, system integration, and security.
- Experience using and leading adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and compliant engineering workflows.
- Preferred: networking knowledge, basic CCNA certification, cloud technology experience, Kubernetes, and Docker.
