Responsibilities
- Drive front-end excellence to create fast and visually polished user experiences.
- Champion UI performance and accessibility, setting measurable standards.
- Lead cross-team initiatives from inception through execution.
- Serve as the accountable technical leader for key systems or domains.
- Model principled decision-making balancing short-term delivery with long-term health.
- Champion cross-functional alignment with product strategy.
- Lead architectural design for scalable systems across multiple teams.
- Raise the bar for code quality and engineering standards.
- Create and promote shared architectural patterns and tools.
- Participate in product discovery sessions to assess feasibility and user needs.
- Identify systemic risks and design resilient solutions.
- Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
- Drive technical discussions and provide insights for growth engineering strategy.
- Analyze performance metrics and user feedback for product enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a software engineer with production code.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and cross-team initiatives.
- Deep architectural expertise in scalable and maintainable systems.
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React and backend technologies like Node.js.
- Expertise in operational excellence and risk mitigation.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Skilled in aligning engineering efforts with product and business goals.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and enabling effective team execution.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to influence across teams without authority.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects without management oversight.
- Experience in introducing new architecture and design concepts.
