Base Salary
$164k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and architecture for the Salesforce platform.
- Own integration architecture between Salesforce and Ibotta’s broader services.
- Define and document development, deployment, code review, and engineering standards.
- Own platform testing, reliability, and performance.
- Partner with product, engineering, architecture, and revenue stakeholders to communicate technical risk and cost.
- Simplify complex inherited systems.
- Mentor Salesforce engineers and raise the technical bar across the group.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Salesforce engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep Apex and Lightning Web Components experience, including knowledge of Lightning architecture and the Salesforce data model.
- Hands-on application development experience in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js outside of Salesforce.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and REST and SOAP API integrations, including Salesforce Platform Events and Change Data Capture.
- Experience with Salesforce release, deployment, and version-control-based development using tools such as Copado, Salesforce DX, and Git.
- Experience with CPQ.
- Clear written communication and the ability to document architecture and technical decisions.
- Preferred qualifications include experience simplifying inherited systems, integrating with systems that contain their own business logic, setting standards across teams with contractors, AI-assisted development judgment, and Salesforce certifications.
