Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify testing needs and gaps.
- Design, review, and execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke/sanity, exploratory, and UAT test scenarios and cases.
- Perform end-to-end validation of business workflows across multiple systems.
- Identify, document, track, triage, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis and assist developers in reproducing issues.
- Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools and perform database validations using SQL queries.
- Prepare test execution reports, test summary reports, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to support timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Contribute to testing best practices, process improvements, and quality initiatives.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, test planning, test design, and test execution.
- Experience with requirements analysis, risk identification, impact analysis, defect triage, and reproducible defect reporting.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience validating backend data and executing database queries.
- Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Experience testing REST APIs and understanding HTTP methods, status codes, JSON validation, and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Preferred knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or another automation framework.
- Preferred knowledge of CI/CD concepts, test execution pipelines, JMeter or Gatling, cloud-based applications, microservices architecture, accessibility, and cross-browser testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
