Responsibilities
- Build, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex Ruby and Go applications.
- Improve the execution engine of custom third-party code.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Integrate various data storage solutions like Postgres and DynamoDB.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Provide code reviews to teammates.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions.
- Help maintain code quality and organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building scalable distributed backend applications.
- Strong understanding of web application building blocks like databases and load balancers.
- Good understanding of network protocols and stacks.
- Knowledge of both classic databases and modern no-SQL technologies.
- Experience with multilingual programming, primarily in Ruby and Go.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of industry experience.
- Optional: Background in Go, Rust, network programming, and application security.
