Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain features for the Microsoft Ads Editor cross-platform desktop application.
- Build user interfaces and backend or integration functionality using technologies including C#/.NET, React, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, platform teams, and partner teams to understand requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Mentor early-career engineers and contribute technical expertise to design discussions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and documented code following Microsoft engineering standards.
- Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and team practices.
- Own technical OKRs for the desktop application and improve its reliability and performance.
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in agile team ceremonies and support a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and version control.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks for performant, scalable user interfaces.
- Familiarity with Electron or cross-platform desktop application development.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET for backend or integration work in large-scale, modular applications.
- Debugging and troubleshooting experience across UI, API, and data layers.
- Experience with accessibility standards, bulk data processing, offline workflows, or large-scale data editing is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, adaptability, and mentoring skills.
