Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services using modern tools and frameworks.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions for new and existing systems.
- Review code and uphold high standards for code quality and maintainability.
- Improve tooling and processes and share engineering knowledge.
- Work across the TypeScript/React frontend and Python application backend, with occasional exposure to Rust, C++, and Go services.
- Reason about system performance and manage resources across cloud and on-premises deployment environments.
- Own projects end-to-end from planning and implementation through maintenance and observability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional Software Engineering experience, ideally in a scale-up or fast-growing environment.
- High proficiency in one or more backend languages and their ecosystems, such as Python, Rust, Go, or C++.
- Comfort working with a TypeScript/React frontend and highly concurrent or asynchronous code.
- Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with modern web architectures and cloud platforms.
- Experience owning projects end-to-end.
- Experience integrating LLM providers and building LLM-powered products is preferred.
- Experience with streaming or message queue systems such as Redis Streams, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is preferred.
- Kubernetes experience, including deploying services and debugging production workloads, is preferred.
