Senior Architect - German Speaking
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical architecture across one or more large programs or portfolios.
- Lead customer discovery and design workshops and architect solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Define reusable design patterns and configure user interfaces, business rules, workflows, and entity models.
- Lead architectural governance, implementation design reviews, technical risk mitigation, and troubleshooting of complex issues.
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to architects, lead consultants, developers, and junior architects.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer architecture and leadership teams and present technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Support pre-sales and proposal efforts by reviewing estimates and architecture viability.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Cloud teams and contribute to architecture standards, playbooks, reusable assets, forums, and strategic initiatives.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and explore AI applications that enhance Guidewire product and service delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in enterprise software architecture with relevant delivery lead experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise solutions in the insurance sector; Guidewire or similar core insurance platform experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong command of Java, Gosu, REST APIs, and cloud-native architecture.
- Ability to design and scale solutions across multiple workstreams or regions and lead architectural governance and code or design reviews.
- Experience translating business needs into long-term technology strategies and communicating with program management, architecture, and development teams.
- Experience with Agile delivery, hybrid cloud implementation strategies, and pre-sales architectural viability reviews.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include multiple Guidewire certifications, multi-region or multi-vendor delivery leadership, insurance domain expertise, digital transformation or cloud migration experience, enterprise security and compliance architecture familiarity, cloud automation experience, and contributions to reusable frameworks or architecture assets.
