Base Salary
$60k - $90k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable and compliant technical solutions for healthcare claims applications on mainframe systems.
- Design, develop, test, debug, maintain, and optimize applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
- Troubleshoot production issues, resolve technical problems, and support application performance optimization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members while coordinating onsite-offshore activities.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, post-deployment validation, and backout procedures.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, support teams, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with IBM MQ, mainframe technologies, and healthcare claims processing.
- Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
- Experience with healthcare claims adjudication processes and related business workflows.
- Experience with code migration, release management, package creation, and code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.
- Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional and offshore development teams.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and the ability to work independently.
