Base Salary
$142k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Build scalable content workflows, data pipelines, and platform services for media transformations, video processing, media security, and content management.
- Collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and content strategies.
- Monitor and optimize production systems for platform stability, performance, and uptime.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Develop extensible cloud-based services that support autonomous content workflows and reduce reliance on external vendors.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in at least one core programming language such as Java, Python, or C/C++.
- Experience building and consuming web services using REST APIs or GraphQL.
- Experience with AWS and core services such as S3, Lambda, and EC2.
- Understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience with Docker, GitLab CI, Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
- Experience across the full application development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with data stores such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale production systems, Java or Node backends, media-centric workflows using FFmpeg or MediaInfo, event-based asynchronous workflow processing, AI-driven production integrations, and media or entertainment technology.
