Base Salary
$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality application code.
- Provide technical guidance and promote engineering best practices.
- Contribute to and review code, set standards, and ensure product and design specifications are met.
- Own fundamental platform performance, scalability, and resiliency.
- Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and propose solutions spanning multiple teams.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers, team leads, and cross-functional peers to deliver scalable and robust products.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related software development experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers of varying experience levels.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working within a geographically distributed team.
- Preferred experience with temporal and descriptive video tagging or ad marking.
- Preferred knowledge of performance testing, application profiling, Java heap and thread dump analysis, video/audio/subtitle formats, codecs, wrappers, media standards, and SMPTE specifications.
Benefits
- Full-time employment.
- Hiring range of $141,900 to $190,300 per year in Los Angeles, CA and Bristol, CT, or $148,700 to $199,400 per year in New York, NY.
- Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits.
