Base Salary
$225k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with AI labs and cross-functional stakeholders to understand technical challenges, translate ambiguous requirements into engineering plans, and drive alignment.
- Own the design, architecture, and delivery of tailored production-grade solutions for complex customer needs.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and forward-deployed engineering best practices.
- Make architectural decisions regarding reliability, scalability, and security, and define repeatable deployment patterns.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on tools based on real-time feedback while balancing delivery speed and maintainability.
- Create technical playbooks, documentation, and frameworks that help the team scale deployments efficiently.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful experience in customer-facing, solutions-oriented, or forward-deployed roles.
- Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, with attention to code quality, usability, and accessibility.
- Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, data modeling, and system design.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, deployment pipelines, and production operations at scale.
- Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end in ambiguous environments with shifting requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices.
- Preferred experience delivering production systems for LLMs or other AI-powered products in customer-facing environments.
- Preferred experience with component libraries, design systems, reusable deployment frameworks, performance optimization, and scaling high-traffic full-stack applications.
- Prior forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, or technical-consulting experience at a high-growth company is preferred.
