Base Salary

$135k - $189k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Author and execute master verification and validation plans for navigation-related avionics boxes.
  • Evaluate requirements, propose verification and validation solutions, and explore design tradeoffs.
  • Develop test cases and test procedures.
  • Support or own delivery of software verification reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own software- and systems-level verification and validation trace matrices.
  • Apply AI and automation to software verification and validation activities.
  • Contribute as a software developer.
  • Use software configuration management, source control, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders about requirements, designs, and deliverable status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of software verification and validation experience.
  • Knowledge of DO-178C and/or NASA NPR 7150.2.
  • Software development skills in several programming languages, including C, C++, MATLAB, Python, and Rust.
  • Experience with GitLab.
  • Experience with real-time systems and embedded programming.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface company-wide as a technical leader.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced new product development environment.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with software or algorithm development.
  • Preferred: experience with navigation algorithms such as Extended Kalman Filters.
  • Preferred: knowledge of IMUs, GPS, and other complementary navigation technologies.
