Responsibilities

  • Contribute to functional, technical, and user interface designs for complex applications and systems.
  • Participate in application development, project planning, estimation, programming, and status updates.
  • Perform peer code reviews focused on quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Develop enhancements, troubleshoot applications, and resolve issues affecting application integrity.
  • Configure and develop custom components with analysts, developers, designers, and technology partners.
  • Follow security practices and help ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities.
  • Complete unit and integration testing according to standards and design specifications.
  • Participate in technical knowledge sharing during incident management, including outage analysis, impact assessment, and stakeholder communication.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation if required.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or technical certificate is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant mainframe application development and support experience is required.
  • Experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, TSO, ISPF, and IMS DC/DB and/or DB2 is required.
  • Experience with Endevor, SCM, or Changeman is required for source control.
  • Experience with CA-7, Autosys, or AWF is required for job scheduling.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow is expected.
  • Agile experience is preferred.
  • Financial or banking industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with IDz, ZDT, ADDI, PD tool, or IMS Explorer for Development is preferred.
  • General knowledge of MQ is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GitHub Copilot is preferred.
