Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, support, and improve software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and code reviews for scalable web services.
- Identify system issues and improvement opportunities, develop standard operating procedures, and maintain existing codebases.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to implement technical designs.
- Investigate relevant technologies and assist customer support with technical issues.
- Lead project work, mentor less experienced developers, and make independent technical decisions.
- Apply AI-native practices, automation, and engineering toolchains to improve software development and operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Java full-stack development, Java Enterprise Edition, and software development for large business environments.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- At least 4 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar event bus integration, and Snowflake cloud-based big data solutions is preferred.
- Experience with software security tools and best practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, AI modernization, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to operate across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, and implementation levels.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, customer-focus, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
