Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-enabled workflows integrating AI services, prompts, models, decisioning, approvals, exception paths, and human controls.
- Implement document ingestion, vector embeddings, grounding, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and workflow automation.
- Define autonomy rules, exception paths, audit trails, and governance controls for production AI solutions.
- Evaluate AI outputs with real test sets, measure accuracy, and instrument solutions to detect model or workflow drift.
- Support integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, cutover, and stabilization for AI-enabled projects.
- Collaborate with functional specialists, architects, and delivery teams to understand business processes and document maintainable solutions.
- Create reusable patterns, prompt libraries, and evaluation harnesses and share knowledge with delivery teams.
Requirements
- At least six years of software development experience, including at least two years building AI-enabled or intelligent automation solutions deployed to production.
- At least two years of experience with SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, generative AI hub, and orchestration or prompt management.
- At least two years building and tuning retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, with hands-on Document AI or Document Information Extraction experience.
- At least four years of Python experience plus Node.js or Java experience.
- Experience with Joule extensibility and workflow automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills for working with clients across North America.
- Assets include HANA Cloud vector engine, Intelligent Scenario Lifecycle Management, ABAP AI SDK, MCP, agent frameworks, SAP Business AI, BTP Extensions with CAP, SAP Build Process Automation, or cloud AI certification.
