Base Salary
$230k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with prospects to understand their infrastructure requirements.
- Deliver customized product demonstrations tailored to each prospect's use case.
- Architect and run proof-of-concept deployments for real production workloads.
- Serve as the technical expert for prospects migrating from Heroku.
- Develop and maintain migration playbooks and demo environments.
- Handle technical objections and competitive comparisons with well-reasoned arguments.
- Respond to technical sections of RFPs and security questionnaires.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to build consensus among stakeholders.
- Synthesize field feedback into structured product input for Engineering and Product.
- Contribute to technical marketing content to build Render's credibility.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales role.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major PaaS platform, such as Heroku or Render.
- Proficiency across the modern web application stack, including databases and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to write code in languages like Python, Ruby, or Node.js for debugging and POC integration.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to migration evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical evaluations simultaneously.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
