Base Salary
$135k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software development across architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for software development within the Epoch 2 Ground Management and Integration effort.
- Define and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure software architecture for ground systems.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to software developers and subcontractor personnel.
- Coordinate with systems engineering teams to align software with requirements, interfaces, and mission needs.
- Oversee software integration into larger ground-system architectures and ensure compatibility and performance.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and SSC standards throughout development.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical reviews, code reviews, and software quality practices.
- Prepare technical documentation including design artifacts, interface control documents, and test plans.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and government stakeholders to track progress, manage risks, clarify requirements, and support delivery decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience.
- Minimum active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance after joining the program.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Experience leading technical teams in complex, mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and containerized environments including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, or ground-system architectures.
- Active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- Experience with space or missile defense programs, especially OPIR or SSC programs, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or government cloud environments is preferred.
- Background in systems engineering or integration of complex multivendor systems is preferred.
Benefits
- Target salary range is $135,000–$216,000; employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.
- Position is contingent upon contract award.
- An active Secret clearance is required, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret clearance after joining the program.
