Base Salary
$275k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define Dust’s global Solutions Engineering vision, strategy, operating model, team structure, leadership model, career paths, coverage model, and performance systems.
- Lead pre-sales and post-sales Solutions Engineering and scale the organization across Paris, New York, San Francisco, and London.
- Hire, develop, retain, and manage Solutions Engineers and future SE leaders while establishing a high talent bar.
- Own technical strategy and execution for complex enterprise evaluations, including qualification, discovery, demonstrations, solution design, pilots, architecture reviews, security validation, and technical handoffs.
- Partner with Sales leadership to improve technical win rate, evaluation conversion, qualified pipeline coverage, and evaluation velocity.
- Build post-sales Solutions Engineering motions for advanced use cases, complex integrations, new architectures, adoption, value, and expansion.
- Create repeatable playbooks, reference architectures, technical assets, AI-native workflows, resource-allocation methods, and operating standards.
- Partner with Customer Success, AI Deployment, Product, and Engineering to connect customer needs, technical execution, product improvements, and business outcomes.
- Advise customers on AI-agent value, model selection, prompting, context management, tool use, retrieval, evaluations, reliability, latency, cost, integrations, security, governance, and cloud architectures.
- Coach Solutions Engineers and maintain a high technical standard across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience building, scaling, or significantly transforming a Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Customer Engineering, Technical Account Management, or comparable customer-facing technical function.
- Experience recruiting, retaining, and developing exceptional customer-facing technical talent across multiple regions, segments, or customer motions.
- Experience owning measurable go-to-market outcomes and personally helping win complex enterprise opportunities.
- Understanding of both pre-sales technical execution and post-sales Solutions Engineering for adoption, value, and expansion.
- Strong technical credibility across enterprise architecture, integrations, security, governance, and AI systems, combined with business judgment.
- Ability to remain close to strategic customers while building an organization that does not depend on the leader for every decision.
- Ability to introduce scalable structure without creating unnecessary process.
- Clear communication and hands-on leadership across Sales, Customer Success, AI Deployment, Product, and Engineering.
