Responsibilities

  • Participate in low- to moderately complex technology initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document software projects and programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability.
  • Research and evaluate technical alternatives for low- to medium-risk assignments and challenges.
  • Provide recommendations, escalate issues as needed, and support established service level agreements.
  • Apply security and compliance requirements while developing understanding of the technology domain.
  • Provide information and recommendations to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Desired bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience developing complex, highly integrated web-based applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, microservices, and Private Cloud/PCF.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React JS.
  • Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, and JIRA.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and automation testing frameworks.
  • Experience implementing and reviewing non-functional requirements including performance optimization, scalability, and reusability.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and methodologies.
  • Good verbal and written communication, problem-solving, analytical, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
