Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own the enterprise cloud architecture across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and hybrid environments.
- Develop cloud architecture documentation including solution design documents and network diagrams.
- Define and enforce cloud security architecture standards including Zero Trust Architecture.
- Lead cloud migration planning and execution, assessing on-premise workloads and defining strategies.
- Architect secure, high-availability cloud network topologies including VPC/VNET design.
- Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO teams to maintain Cloud Security Plans and continuous monitoring strategies.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for CIO review.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for cloud architecture on assigned programs.
- Mentor cloud engineers and establish architecture review processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 8–12 years of experience in cloud architecture or solutions architecture, with 4 years in DoD or federal programs.
- Experience architecting production workloads on AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Working knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, and cloud security requirements.
- Experience supporting NIST RMF authorization activities for cloud-hosted systems.
- Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
