Responsibilities
- Engineer stable, scalable, performant, accessible, testable, secure, and well-documented software solutions.
- Lead technical development at the product, team, or domain level and take ownership of technical delivery and application health.
- Own technical custodianship, governance activities, and incident root-cause analysis for technical assets.
- Participate in code reviews, planning, ceremonies, technical communities, and continuous improvement activities.
- Identify opportunities for reuse and automation to reduce manual work and technical debt.
- Apply system design, quality assurance, test automation, performance checks, regression testing, debugging, and DevOps principles.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge as a subject matter expert, and support technical skill development.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and align on progress.
- Provide hardware, software, and network support as needed.
- Apply established AI concepts and tools to address familiar scenarios.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level software engineering experience with deep understanding of system design and relevant technologies and domains.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code independently.
- Ability to lead technical development and own delivery, application health, governance, and incident analysis.
- Experience applying software development, quality assurance, test automation, performance, regression testing, debugging, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and apply prioritisation and critical thinking.
- Commitment to staying current with technology trends, emerging tools, and relevant engineering practices.
