Base Salary

$149k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable authentication and authorization services for distributed environments.
  • Develop and maintain system software for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
  • Implement and operate large-scale security services using Golang or Python.
  • Integrate device-attestation mechanisms, including TPM-based hardware trust.
  • Build platform-level identity and security solutions using PKI, certificates, and secure transport.
  • Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production services in a full DevOps model.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to maintain platform integrity and trustworthiness.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience, including at least 5+ years building distributed systems in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments.
  • At least 5+ years operating in high-availability, mission-critical environments with 99.999% uptime.
  • Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
  • Expertise with TLS, OAuth, SAML, PKI, and certificates.
  • Familiarity with REST and OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, monitoring, and production-system ownership.
  • Experience building software for Linux and/or Windows.
  • Experience with Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or AWS CodeBuild.
  • Working understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or OpenStack infrastructure platforms.
  • Familiarity with Git or Perforce.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A related technical degree is required.
  • Preferred experience includes platform security, device attestation, TPM, HSM, Secure Boot, NIST, ISO, SOC 2, OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25, MFA, Zero Trust, and secure secret or token management.

  • The annual base salary range is $148,500-$223,900, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.
