Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, design, test, debug, and implement robust, high-performance, large-scale applications.
- Develop backend systems and APIs using Java/J2EE, REST, and SOAP technologies.
- Design integrated solutions that meet scalability, high availability, consistency, and broader architecture requirements.
- Define and apply standards for coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and enterprise application design.
- Work with multiple management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and support new products and process improvements.
- Analyze complex business and system processes and develop innovative solutions to high-impact problems.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess and manage risks while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience with systems analysis and software application programming.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, React JS, REST APIs, multithreading, and Java/J2EE backend technologies.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong experience developing and architecting integrated solutions with scalability, high availability, and consistency requirements.
- Experience developing APIs and web services using REST and SOAP.
- Fundamental database knowledge and experience with relational databases such as MSSQL or Oracle, or NoSQL platforms.
- Ability to work across multiple tools, frameworks, and technology stacks.
- Understanding and experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including container deployment.
- Knowledge of standard and enterprise design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, Jasmine, or Mocha.
- Preferred experience with high-speed messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery technologies and tools.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
