Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Go.
- Design and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
- Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Redis, and Elasticsearch databases.
- Develop, manage, and optimize Docker-based containerized applications and Kubernetes workloads.
- Automate processes with Bash and Python scripting.
- Design, use, and maintain secure, performant RESTful and gRPC APIs.
- Implement caching, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures.
- Monitor, debug, and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build the platform and core components from scratch as a founding team member.
- Collaborate with frontend engineering, DevOps, and product teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues end to end and support production SaaS platforms.
- Contribute to security architecture spanning identity, AI agents, and automated enforcement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Go experience.
- Hands-on coding experience building systems from scratch with familiarity across architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS containerized workloads.
- Experience designing RESTful and gRPC APIs, including frameworks such as Gin.
- Experience with messaging systems such as SQS and Kafka.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience operating PostgreSQL through RDS or Aurora and Neo4j or similar databases.
- Experience with AI agents, LLM-based systems, MCP, RAG, prompts, embeddings, and vector technologies.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock, LangChain, pgvector, or similar AI-stack technologies.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and observability practices.
- Experience with coding copilots such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, or Codex.
- Strong understanding of SaaS integrations and app-to-app permission flows.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments and the ability to work with high ownership and speed.
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills, including excellent English.
- Preferred experience with Java, Python, AWS production environments, security architecture, identity security, or security engineering.
- Preferred familiarity with NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, graph-based modeling, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, SCIM, RBAC/ABAC, IAM, CloudTrail, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, SIEM platforms, Zero Trust, least privilege, and AI/LLM security.
- Preferred experience designing permission models, identity graphs, or access-control frameworks and working in cybersecurity or identity startups.
- Excellent German communication skills are a preferred qualification.
