Responsibilities
- Design and build Salesforce-to-AWS integrations using synchronous APIs, Amazon EventBridge, and Amazon S3 file-based batch flows.
- Use AWS services to build capabilities not provided by Salesforce, including secure error handling, retries, and replay.
- Transform GitLab CI/CD from GitFlow to the group-standard trunk-based deployment and propagation model.
- Improve repository security scanning with Snyk or similar tooling.
- Set up observability across AWS and Salesforce, including tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
- Set up Google Cloud accounts, permissions, and basic infrastructure supporting Google Analytics and BigQuery.
- Own AWS solution architecture, environment setup, configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Lead and mentor engineers, set technical direction, and maintain delivery quality.
- Explain and defend architecture, security, configuration, and operational decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on AWS cloud and DevOps engineering experience, including senior- or lead-level team leadership.
- Proven experience leading cloud or DevOps teams and providing technical direction across complex AWS deliveries.
- Demonstrable end-to-end ownership of AWS environment setup and configuration, including personally making architecture and implementation decisions.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting AWS environments.
- Experience building AWS integrations using APIs, API Gateway, Lambda, Amazon EventBridge, and Amazon S3 batch flows.
- Strong GitLab CI/CD experience, including trunk-based development and deployment or promotion patterns.
- Hands-on observability experience involving tracing, dashboards, and alerting with Amazon CloudWatch.
- Ability to propose solution architecture and explain and justify it to engineers and business stakeholders.
- Google Cloud experience involving projects, IAM, basic infrastructure, or BigQuery is advantageous.
- Salesforce integration experience, Snyk or similar SCA/SAST tooling, AWS X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, infrastructure-as-code, AWS certifications, and large platform-consolidation experience are advantageous.
