Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools, including coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architecture, technical credentials, and system applicability.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering outcomes.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot applications and services using AWS cloud technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including hands-on Java development experience.
- Experience leading responsible use of AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of secure handling of sensitive data, resiliency, security expectations, and coaching engineers on safe AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Spring Boot and cloud-native application development.
- Experience with databases and in-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred: enterprise architecture design, API and Kafka-based data sharing, case management workflows, orchestration, and GitHub Copilot or similar developer assistant tools.
