Responsibilities
- Own and manage critical and high-severity production incidents from detection through resolution.
- Lead SWARM and Tech Bridge calls during assigned shifts and provide customer-facing incident communications.
- Monitor production systems, improve MTTR, MTTA, alert quality, and operational stability, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Automate operational tasks and reduce manual toil using Go, Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Maintain dashboards, alerts, runbooks, SOPs, and disaster-recovery processes.
- Act as a technical reviewer for reliability-critical changes and influence architecture decisions with operability and reliability in mind.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product, CloudOps, and Support teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, onboarding, training, and upskilling for ProdOps engineers.
- Drive operational maturity and support effective shift handovers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Production Operations, SRE, or Cloud Reliability roles.
- Proven experience leading major production incidents in customer-facing systems.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving reliability initiatives.
- Experience with Docker, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and observability systems, version control, and operational scripting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work 24/7 rotational shifts, including night shifts and weekend on-call.
