Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure Java applications and microservices.
- Participate in architectural discussions, design system components, and assess technical feasibility.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and estimate development effort.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote engineering best practices.
- Lead small teams, own deliverables, and drive projects to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and JVM tuning.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis is highly desirable.
- Strong experience implementing Kafka and familiarity with RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ.
- Knowledge of container technologies, specifically ECS.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred: practical experience with AI tools and optimized prompt engineering.
