Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and microservices supporting frontend applications.
  • Optimize performance, security, and reliability for large-scale cloud applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers on backend innovation.
  • Design efficient database storage and retrieval solutions.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote backend development best practices.
  • Work with React and TypeScript to integrate frontend and backend components.
  • Drive architectural decisions and continuously improve development processes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of backend development experience, with exposure to full-stack development.
  • Expertise in one or more of Go, Python, or Java, with experience in DataBricks.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and ECS.
  • Familiarity with AI-native tools such as LangChain and Langfuse, and with AI-DLC development lifecycle practices.
  • Bonus experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, cloud-native architectures, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Terraform, CloudFormation, cybersecurity products such as XDR, MDR, and SOC, cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and MITRE, and Git.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and security operations.
