Base Salary
$51k - $82k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, maintain, enhance, test, debug, and support enterprise mainframe applications.
- Write, compile, and execute IDMS/ADSO COBOL programs using COBOL, IDMS, and DB2.
- Use TSO, JCL, Endevor, CICS, IDMS ADS/ADSO, IDMS Utilities, and IDMS DC online features in application development.
- Troubleshoot production problems and provide software application resolutions.
- Collaborate with end users to define system requirements and mentor less experienced developers.
- Incorporate performance, scalability, usability, and security considerations into software development tasks.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience with a BS/BA or six years of experience with a high school education.
- Experience writing, compiling, and executing IDMS/ADSO COBOL programs.
- Technical implementation expertise designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise mainframe applications using COBOL.
- U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Preferred: five or more years of COBOL, VSAM, JCL, and DB2 experience.
- Preferred: current or prior U.S. Department of Agriculture experience.
- Preferred: Cloud Practitioner certification or three years of cloud experience.
- Preferred: Java and web development experience.
- Preferred: familiarity with Scrum and Test Driven Development.
Benefits
- Remote/telework personnel support is accepted for the Kansas City, Kansas customer.
- Target base salary range is $51,000-$82,000 annually.
- Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
